We are pleased to introduce our new Coordinator, Ana Gamboa! Ana is based at Queen’s University in Kingston, Ontario and is being made available to us thanks to a major grant from Professor Nicolas Lamp and TradeLab membership fees.
Ana is currently working at Queen’s University in Kingston, Canada, as a Special Projects Coordinator. In September 2021, she completed her PhD at Queen’s University Faculty of Law where she researched the historical development of the parallel trajectories of the international trade and human rights regimes under the supervision of Dr. Nicolas Lamp. During her doctoral studies, she was awarded the Ontario Trillium Scholarship and the Mitacs Research Training Award, participated in the 2020 WTO PhD Support Program, and worked as a teaching assistant for the International Law course at the Queen’s University Faculty of Law.
Before moving to Canada, Ana worked as a lawyer advising foreign companies that import and export raw materials into Mexico. She has taught Investment Law and Administrative Law at the School of Law at Universidad Modelo in Mexico. She holds a Master’s in International Law degree from the Tecnológico de Monterrey as well as Master’s in Constitutional Law and Bachelor of Laws degrees from the University of Yucatan.
